All Glory to the Lord

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

Oh my friends. All glory to the Lord always and forever.

No matter where you are today on your journey, whether you are on a mountaintop season, deep in a valley, or in one of the hardest places of all, the waiting season, this truth is steady and sure. The Lord our God has not left you. He has not forgotten you. He has not turned His face away.

God is close to the brokenhearted. I know how heavy grief, loss, or disappointment can feel. The quiet moments, the questions that have no answers, the ache in your heart, it can feel like you are alone. But even in sorrow God is near. He carries your heart when it feels too heavy and He holds you close

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18

God’s plans are greater than we can imagine. Friends, His heart toward you is good. His plans for you are better than you could ever imagine or ask. Even when life feels unfair or confusing, He is working everything together for your good and His glory.

Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20

I have been in every season, more than once. I know the mountaintop joy, the deep valley, and the long waiting. Years ago, when I worked in the financial world, one of our trainings said, “We learn by repetition or by trauma.” Honestly, I think God sometimes wanted me to learn fast. So yes, there has been plenty of refining in my life, and probably in yours too. I like to think of it as God’s very intense on-the-job training with more grace and less coffee. 😅

Focus on His unchanging character. One of the greatest lessons I have learned in grief and suffering is that the why does not always matter. What matters is who God is. His character never changes. His faithfulness does not waver. His love is constant even when the world feels dark

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Friends, my heart is full of joy as I write this and I want you to feel that joy today. I love you and I am holding you in my heart. I want you to know that even in sorrow, even in grief, God is holding you close, and so am I praying for you, cheering you on, loving you

Living for His glory in a difficult world. In a world that can feel cold and cruel, let us choose to live differently. Let our words be gentle. Let our hearts be anchored in Him. Let our lives, especially in suffering, point to God’s goodness.

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31

Friends, start there. Not with answers. Not with explanations. But with worship. Let everything point upward to Him and His unchanging love.

Overflow with hope and peace. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

All glory to Him alone and all my love to you friends

Stay warm!

Love,

Andrea Anderegg
